However, we will agree on the fee before any work is carried out, and the pricing is then fixed so you know exactly how much it will cost.

Standard Proofreading:
Proofreading typically covers what is known as SPAG: spelling, punctuation and grammar. An article of 3,000 words will take around an hour to Proofread. This is around four pages of Word or ten slides of PowerPoint. The cost will be £30 an hour, with a minimum of one hour’s cost. Inc;
Copyediting:
Copyediting (working with you to polish the document for publication) includes proofreading, as well as reviewing and improving written material to ensure it is clear, concise, and free of errors. A copy editor’s role is to polish the text, ensuring that it flows smoothly, maintains consistency, and adheres to the appropriate style and tone. Therefore, it also takes longer than Proofreading alone. The cost is £35 per 2,000 words for this activity.
Substantive Editing:
Substantive Editing, or content or developmental editing, involves a comprehensive text review. It may include restructuring sections, adding or removing content, and addressing any inconsistencies in the argument or narrative. As you would, this takes longer and is more intense than proofreading or copyediting, and we would work together with you to ensure the final document meets your requirements. This cost is £40 per 1,500 words.
Websites and Social Media:
For a fixed fee, we will proofread daily, weekly or monthly blogs or check your website regularly for any changes or issues.
Or we can take on one-off pieces of work as you need and require, giving you the confidence you need that your online world is error-free.
A daily blog check will cost around £75 a month, and a full one-off check for a website will normally cost between £100 – £150 (depending on the size of the task).

CVs and Résumés
The cost of Proofreading a standard two-page CV or Résumé is £40, with extra pages at £15 per page. A full copy edit of a CV would typically be £30 per page. To support the writing of an individual or standard cover letter is £45. If you wish us to work closely together on polishing your CV or Résumé, we can discuss the time required and the fee.
