Pricing and Quotes
For proofreading and copy-editing work, my quotations are informed by the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading’s suggested minimum rates, while reflecting the type of work, complexity, condition of the document and required timescale.
IT sourcing and procurement consultancy is priced according to the scope and duration of the work, usually on a daily rate or an agreed project basis.
All fees are agreed in advance. I can provide a clear, tailored quote once I understand what you need.
Proofreading and copy editing
What is the difference between proofreading and copy editing?
Proofreading is a final check for spelling, punctuation, grammar, consistency and presentation. Copy editing is more in-depth and can improve clarity, sentence flow, structure and readability while retaining your intended voice.
How quickly can you return my document?
Timescales depend on the length, complexity and current workload. Please get in touch with your deadline and I will confirm what is realistic before accepting the work.
Will my document be kept confidential?
Yes. Documents are handled confidentially and used only for the agreed work. A non-disclosure agreement can be considered where required

Can you support a specific stage rather than a complete project?
Yes. Support can be provided for a complete sourcing programme or a particular requirement, such as an independent supplier review, RFP support, commercial negotiation or contract review.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. I work with clients throughout the UK and internationally. Most work can be delivered remotely, with on-site support available where appropriate.
