Writing an important document can take extra time and effort when dyslexia affects spelling, punctuation, formatting or reading. I provide careful, supportive proofreading and copy editing to help make your document clear, accurate and ready to share—while keeping your own voice.

Dyslexia affects people differently. A final, independent review can help identify errors that are easy to overlook when you have spent a long time working on the same document.

How I can help

I provide a careful final review of spelling, punctuation, grammar, formatting and consistency. I use tracked changes so you can see every suggested amendment and choose what to accept.

What I review

  • Spelling, punctuation, grammar and typographical errors
  • Clarity, sentence flow and consistency
  • Repeated words or phrases
  • Formatting, layout and readability

Documents can be returned with tracked changes in Word, PowerPoint, PDF or Google Docs, so you can review each suggested amendment. I can also provide a clean version where helpful.

Support for students

Students and academics may be able to access disability-related study support through their university or college. Please check directly with your institution to see what support may be available.

I can proofread essays, dissertations, research papers and other academic documents, helping with language, structure, consistency and presentation.

Discuss your document

Please get in touch with the document type, approximate word count and your required timescale. I will let you know how I can help and provide a clear quote where appropriate.

Readability preferences

Reading preferences differ. If you have particular formatting, font, spacing, or readability preferences that help you work comfortably, please mention them when you enquire, and I will do my best to accommodate them.
